Seller Policy

Welcome to the Arjocart Seller Center. This Seller Policy governs the relationship between Arjocart and all individuals, businesses, and organizations ("Seller") who list and sell products through the Arjocart platform. By registering as a seller, listing products, or accepting orders through Arjocart, you agree to comply with this Seller Policy, the Arjocart Terms & Conditions, and all applicable laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
1. Seller Eligibility
To become an Arjocart Seller, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be legally authorized to conduct business in Bangladesh.
- Provide accurate business and identity information.
- Maintain valid contact details.
- Submit any documents requested by Arjocart for verification.
Arjocart reserves the right to approve or reject any seller application at its sole discretion.
2. Seller Verification
To ensure marketplace integrity, Arjocart may request:
- National ID (NID), Passport, or Driving License
- Trade License (if applicable)
- TIN Certificate (where applicable)
- Bank or Mobile Financial Services (MFS) account details
- Business address verification
- Any additional documents required for compliance
Providing false or misleading information may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
3. Product Listing Requirements
Sellers are responsible for ensuring that every product listing is accurate and complete. Each listing must include:
- Correct product title
- Clear product description
- Accurate specifications
- Genuine product images
- Correct pricing
- Available stock quantity
- Warranty information (if applicable)
Misleading or deceptive listings are strictly prohibited.
4. Prohibited Products
Sellers must not list or sell products prohibited under the laws of Bangladesh or Arjocart policies, including but not limited to:
- Counterfeit goods
- Stolen items
- Illegal drugs or narcotics
- Firearms, ammunition, or explosives
- Tobacco or vaping products where prohibited
- Expired food or medicines
- Adult or obscene materials
- Products infringing intellectual property rights
- Wildlife or endangered species products
- Any item prohibited by applicable law
Arjocart may remove prohibited listings without notice.
5. Inventory Management
Sellers must:
- Maintain accurate inventory.
- Update stock promptly.
- Avoid overselling.
- Remove unavailable products immediately.
Repeated stock shortages may affect seller performance.
6. Pricing Policy
Sellers must:
- Display fair and accurate prices.
- Avoid misleading discounts.
- Include applicable VAT or taxes where required by law.
- Honor confirmed order prices.
Artificial price inflation before promotional campaigns is prohibited.
7. Order Fulfillment
Sellers must:
- Confirm and process orders promptly.
- Pack products securely.
- Hand over shipments within the required dispatch time.
- Ensure products match the order.
Repeated delays or cancellations may result in account restrictions.
8. Product Quality
All products sold through Arjocart must be:
- Genuine
- New (unless clearly identified otherwise)
- Safe for intended use
- Free from manufacturing defects
- Consistent with the product description
The sale of counterfeit or imitation products is strictly prohibited.
9. Returns & Refunds
Sellers must cooperate with Arjocart in handling approved return and refund requests.
Where a seller is responsible for:
- Incorrect product
- Damaged product
- Missing items
- Manufacturing defects
- Misleading product description
the seller may bear applicable return, replacement, or refund costs in accordance with Arjocart policies.
10. Warranty Obligations
If a product includes a seller warranty, the seller must:
- Clearly state the warranty period.
- Honor valid warranty claims.
- Repair, replace, or otherwise resolve eligible warranty issues within a reasonable timeframe.
Failure to fulfill warranty obligations may result in seller penalties.
11. Seller Performance Standards
Arjocart monitors seller performance based on factors including:
- Order acceptance rate
- Order cancellation rate
- On-time dispatch
- Return rate
- Customer complaints
- Product quality
- Customer ratings
- Policy compliance
Poor performance may lead to reduced visibility, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the platform.
12. Payments to Sellers
Seller payouts are processed according to the agreed settlement schedule after:
- Successful order delivery
- Completion of the applicable return period
- Deduction of marketplace commissions, shipping charges, promotional costs (where applicable), taxes, and other agreed fees
Arjocart reserves the right to hold payments where fraud, disputes, or policy violations are under investigation.
13. Intellectual Property
Sellers must only upload content they own or are legally authorized to use. This includes:
- Product images
- Brand names
- Logos
- Product descriptions
- Manuals
- Marketing materials
Sellers are solely responsible for intellectual property infringement claims relating to their listings.
14. Customer Communication
Sellers must communicate with customers professionally and honestly. Sellers must not:
- Request payments outside Arjocart.
- Ask customers to cancel orders to avoid platform fees.
- Share misleading information.
- Harass or pressure customers.
All customer interactions should comply with Arjocart standards.
15. Fraud Prevention
The following activities are prohibited:
- Fake orders
- Fake reviews or ratings
- Artificial sales generation
- Counterfeit returns
- Price manipulation
- Abuse of promotional campaigns
- Identity fraud
- Multiple seller accounts created to bypass restrictions
Violations may result in immediate enforcement action.
16. Suspension and Termination
Arjocart may suspend or permanently terminate a seller account if the seller:
- Violates this Seller Policy.
- Repeatedly receives serious customer complaints.
- Sells counterfeit or prohibited products.
- Commits fraud or deceptive practices.
- Fails to meet minimum performance standards.
- Provides false verification information.
Termination may occur without prior notice where required to protect customers or comply with applicable law.
17. Limitation of Liability
Arjocart provides a marketplace platform and is not the manufacturer of products listed by sellers.
To the maximum extent permitted under the laws of Bangladesh, Arjocart shall not be liable for:
- Product defects caused by sellers or manufacturers
- Loss of business or profits
- Indirect or consequential damages
- Delays caused by logistics partners or external events
Nothing in this policy limits any rights available under applicable laws of Bangladesh.
18. Governing Law
This Seller Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
Any dispute relating to this policy shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Bangladesh unless otherwise required by law.
19. Policy Updates
Arjocart may revise this Seller Policy at any time to reflect legal, operational, or marketplace changes.
The updated version will be published on the Arjocart platform, and continued use of the Seller Center constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
